4th Annual District Cooling Stakeholders Summit 2016 Kicks Off In Dubai – UAE
Establishing a Sustainable and Renewable Cooling Infrastructure
The 4th Annual District Cooling Stakeholders Summit, an annual gathering of elite panelists and solution providers from across multiple sectors was inaugurated yesterday at the ‘Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel and Towers, Dubai, UAE‘. The summit commenced with an inaugural opening address from ‘H.E Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi‘, Undersecretary, Ministry of Energy, United Arab Emirates. The summit being organized by Fleming., a leading events organization which handles Conferences, Trainings, Exhibitions, Blended Learning and also Online Conferences, the summit is recognized and stated as the core platform for district cooling stakeholders, that will showcase various aspects of district cooling market’s revolution in the United Arab Emirates.
With over 150 participants from across the regions, the event has engaged into having interactive discussions and reviews, it is incorporated with 20 sessions that would last throughout the summit. The event comprises of c’ level officials and solution providers from across regions. The participants witnessed keynote presentations, discussions and also be a part of the case studies. On Day 1 of the sessions framework structure followed a keynote presentation on ‘The transition from traditional electric cooling to renewable district cooling in United Arab Emirates’ by – George Berbari – Chief Executive Officer, DC Pro Engineering, UAE, the Day 1 session further witnessed discussions regarding ‘Regulatory Perspectives: The Ahead’ addressed by H.E. Eng. Fatima Al Foora Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary Electricity – Clean Energy and Desalinated Water Affairs – Ministry of Energy – UAE, Ali Alsuwaidi – MEFMA – Board Member – Executive Director, Ejadah – Dubai Properties – UAE.
The day concluded with, the speakers and officials engaging themselves for a ‘DC Round Table Discussion’, which discussed about ‘The Renewable Energy Aspects’, ‘The Regulatory Aspects‘, ‘The need for effective energy efficiency‘. The conclusion of the Day 1 event provided a variety of solutions and key methods for the audience, who look forward to implementing these factors and methods for a better progression in the upcoming future.
The summit also witnessed presentations from Ministry of Energy – UAE,Dubai Municipality – UAE, DC Pro Engineering, Emirates Green Building Council, Supreme Council of Energy, Ejadah – Dubai Properties, Public Work Authority- Qatar.
With this said, the Day 2 of the summit will en-compose a wide range of expert discussion on ‘Renewable Energy for a smart choice’, ‘Technology for the next level’, ‘DC with Trigeneration – The Future?’ to name a few. These beneficial discussions will sum up the summit, and pave a clear way to ensure that the DC market in UAE will be clear of obstacles that hinder its growth.
