SAUDI embraces Al and robotics in healthcare

SAUDI EMBRACES AI AND ROBOTICS IN HEALTHCARE

Change can often be scary, and robotics and AI in healthcare is a big one. The potential is vast for both recipients and providers of healthcare. Just like in our everyday lives, AI and robotics are increasingly a part of our healthcare ecosystem.

According to a PwC study, majority of consumers are willing to receive care from these advanced technologies, which have the potential to transform healthcare delivery to make it better, faster and more accessible for all.

With the Saudi Government taking various measures to provide their citizens with more jobs, there seems to be a looming threat from this sector. In reply to this, Dr Tim Wilson, Partner and Healthcare Services Leader at PwC points out how this has been a fear with each industrial revolution.

“New technology has generally increased productivity, opened up new job opportunities and generally improved social well being. The Kingdom could take the lead and create jobs by being a world centre for AI and robotics,” he added. He strongly believes that the Middle East could leapfrog other countries in these technologies.

When the conversation turns to the future of robotics and AI, many fail to realize the possibilities and opportunities that artificial intelligence can bring to our world. As AI becomes a more concrete reality, and becomes a household phenomenon, services that are currently unavailable to some, will become universally available to all.

Dr Wilson believes that the key benefits and challenges of embracing AI and Robotics in the Saudi Healthcare sector is to become world leaders in this technology, to fill gaps in provision where it is unlikely the kingdom can get or afford the health workforce, and simply because it is better.

In light of these advancements and the special potential of growing demand and rising investments in the private healthcare sector, BizWingz Production House is organizing The Saudi Healthcare Privatization Summit 2017 which is aimed at encouraging participation from the private sector by bringing together buyers and suppliers in order to decrease demand-supply gap. Come watch the best minds in the healthcare industry from across the pan-Saudi region, as well as the rest of the world, convene on a single platform at The Riyadh Marriott Hotel, Riyadh on the 27th and the 28th of November, 2017.

Registration for the Summit is open – Ensure your participation for the ultimate knowledge-sharing summit at the earliest.
