This is a great platform to explore the possibilities of collaboration between India and UAE in the healthcare sector. Cooperation between countries in healthcare areas is imperative to facilitate knowledge-transfer, provide high-quality healthcare and enhance overall healthcare delivery and efficacy. The UAE government, given its wise leadership and innovative technologies in healthcare has been at the forefront of battling the recent pandemic. The country has not only maintained discipline and guidelines to contain Covid-19, but has ensured that the pandemic is well under control. The UAE’s efforts have been commendable, and I thank and congratulate the government for organising the Expo 2020, giving us a platform to further boost the bilateral relations between the two countries in the healthcare sector.”

India and the UAE have maintained diplomatic relations for almost 50 years and it has grown stronger over the last few years and become multi-dimensional. A major proof of this tie between the countries is the India Pavilion at Expo 2020 which is a $68-million project.

Some of the key areas where bilateral relations between the countries can happen are Hospitals, Pharmaceuticals, Health Insurance, Research and Investment. India’s participation at the Expo 2020 is enabling healthcare professionals both India and UAE to join hands and aid in bringing about new developments and strengthen the healthcare sector of both the countries.

Apollo is not just one of Asia’s largest integrated healthcare providers, it is also regarded as the pioneer in technological revolutions in the region’s healthcare sector.
