Cook Children’s Health Care System Launches #EraseKidCancer Campaign in celebration of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Cook Children’s Health Care System, a pediatric health care organization based in Fort Worth, Texas, launches its #erasekidcancer campaign to coincide with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month aimed to raise awareness and support oncologists, researchers, patients and families to fund life-saving research, treatments, technology and programs at Cook Children’s Hospital.

The campaign has created two easy steps to help:

Gretchen Eames, M.D., said: “Cook Children’s is dedicated to supporting and improving the lives of our patients diagnosed with cancer, and their families. Helping to raise awareness on the types of cancers that occur most often in children and working with healthcare professionals, patients and families to bring about a better understanding of the active research and available therapies is an important part of this. We hope this campaign will help to give a voice to kids living with cancer.”

In UAE, cancer is the third leading cause of death with most common cases in children are leukemia, which is followed by brain cancer and lymph cancer.

Says Executive Director International Patient Services, Cynthia Gonzalez at Cook Children’s Health Care System: “As our campaign saying goes, if we had one wish it would be that no child would ever suffer from cancer. That’s why we’re asking everyone to join forces with Cook Children’s oncologists, researchers, patients and families to help make that wish come true. The funds will help the team of experts to create quality research and develop new treatments and technology to fight cancer especially for children.”
