Pause for thought

In view of the dynamics of Middle Eastern countries, and in the changing ambiance of the Arab Spring, we thought of launching a new channel to enable the Middle East to communicate with itself, and the Middle East with the whole world.

Middle East Business News and Magazine
Middle East Business provides quality information about business dynamics and pertinent economic and socio-economic issues, highlights investment prospects, analyses business trends and connects private sector players within the Middle East region, and between this important region and other countries around the globe.  The magazine also sheds light on gender issues related to business as well as on creative approaches by policy-makers to resolve business related dilemmas. There is also a regular column that focuses on Islamic Finance as a new business trend in the MENA region. Middle East Business is an important economic media communication vehicle for promoting private sector-led growth in the Middle East reg

In this inaugural issue, we have chosen to include articles from international experts writing about what the Middle East should look like. Which model can we look to for inspiration? Jean Pierre Lehman, the founder of Evian Group, shares his thoughts with our readers.

And what’s happening with the Arab Spring? The question is: was it purely political, or also economic? Nadia Belhaj leads us on the path to understanding the situation.

During this holy Haj season, we consider the economics of the largest global pilgrimage and what it means for Saudi Arabia. In our online edition, we even include specially commissioned footage from Mecca.

Middle East Business will be powered by a mobile application: Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows, as well as our website and through social media. We will solidify all of this with an audiovisual channel on You Tube, where you can watch some of the important business and economic news in reports weve created.

We are strengthened by a network of correspondents across many countries. The printed version of the magazine appears each trimester (3 months), while the mobile application and website are regularly updated with news and articles.
