The International Renewable Energy Agency has launched its latest report on renewable energy jobs, Renewable Energy and Jobs – Annual Review 2018.

The report provides insights into the composition of renewable energy employment and skills requirements that can help countries make informed decisions to drive a fair and equitable renewable energy transition, including in the areas of education and training, industrial policies and labour market regulations.

According to our findings, for the first time there are now more than 10 million people employed in the renewable energy industry worldwide. More than half a million new jobs were added in 2017, a 5.3 increase from 2016, 70% of which are in Brazil, China, India, Japan, Germany and the United States.
