An increase in Registered* Exports and Imports in Goods in May

compared to the previous month

Exports in Goods Exports increased in May, 2022 by 6% compared to April, 2022. It also increased by 14% compared to May, 2021 and reached USD 118 Million. Exports to Israel increased in May, 2022 by 8% compared to April, 2022 and it represented 92% of total exports in May, 2022. On the other hand, exports to other countries decreased by 12% during the same period compared to April, 2022. Imports in Goods Imports increased in May, 2022 by 2% compared to April, 2022. It also increased by 46% compared to May, 2021 and reached USD 674.4 Million. Imports from Israel decreased by 1% in May, 2022 compared to April, 2022 and it represented 56% of total imports in May, 2022. On the other hand, imports from other countries increased by 4% compared to April, 2022. Trade Balance on Registered Goods The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed an increase in trade deficit by 1% in May, 2022 compared to April, 2022. It also increased by 55% compared to May, 2021 and reached USD 556.4 Million.
