Decrease in the Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine during 2018
The
overall IPI in Palestine reached 103.59 during the year of 2018 with a
decrease of 3.94% compared to the previous year (Base Month December 2015 = 100).
IPI for 2018 decreased due to the decrease in the
activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply by 20.80%, and the
activities of Manufacturing Industry by 3.63%, while the
activities of Mining and Quarrying increased by 20.46%, and the
activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation increased by 4.71%.

Increase in the Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine during December 2018
The overall IPI in Palestine reached 110.41 during December 2018 with an increase of 1.13% compared to November 2018 (Base Month December 2015 = 100).
IPI for December 2018 increased due to the increase in the
activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply by 7.49% which had a share of 11.98% of the total industry, the
activities of Mining and Quarrying by 2.30% which had a share of 4.06% of the total industry, and the
activities of Manufacturing Industry by 0.42% which had a share of 83.19% of the total industry, while the
activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation decreased by 3.47% which had a share of 0.78% of the total industry.
