Oman a peaceful oasis of calm

In a fractious, unstable region rife with conflict, one country appears to be unscathed.

Oman is a peaceful oasis of calm, nestled amongst neighboring countries struggling with internal strife.   

Unlike many Arab countries, Oman is barely mentioned in the news and one could say that 'no news is good news'. MIddle East Business thought we'd take a closer look at what it has to offer.

The Middle East and North Africa region, which was already ranked the lowest in the Global Peace Index1 (GPI 2016), saw the biggest deterioration in its score during 2015, as the civil wars in Syria and Yemen deepened and led to increasing loss of life.
