The other evening as I was packing up my bags for my journey home from my office, I received a call from one of my former patients. It wasn’t the time of the call that surprised me, but rather that this

highly competent executive was calling me at all. He and I had worked together several months earlier to help his oldest son manage what was becoming a gaming problem during the lockdowns of the pandemic. Fortunately, our interventions had worked.  Last I heard, his son was outside playing football and fully engaged in his schoolwork. I said a quick prayer before answering, hoping that his son’s success was still holding.
