Increase in the Wholesale Price1 Index during the Second Quarter of 2016
The overall Wholesale Price Index (WPI) in Palestine with its base year (2007=100) reached 125.09 in the Second quarter 2016, which indicates an increase by 1.01% compared with the First quarter 2016.
WPI for local products (2007=100) reached 127.40 in the Second quarter 2016, which indicates an increase by 1.94% compared with the First quarter 2016.
WPI for imported products (2007=100) reached 121.63 in the Second quarter 2016, which indicates an increase by 0.96% compared with the First quarter 2016.
The change of WPI in the Second quarter 2016 is traced back to changes in the prices of the following major activities compared with the previous quarter:
