Summit to Tackle Corruption in the Middle East

Bribery and corruption remain grave social problems in the Middle East, with five of the ten most corrupt countries in the world, according to Transparency International. Combating corruption is vital to achieving economic growth, and restoring public trust in institutions.

Following on a decade of facilitating discussion of anti-corruption issues, Duxes will host the 3rd Anti-Corruption Compliance EMEA Summit 2017 on November 16-17 in Dubai. The summit will gather professionals from different industries, as well as experts and policymakers, to examine anti-corruption compliance in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.

The summit will open with content from officials in regulatory agencies, addressing anti-corruption policies in the Middle East, and enforcement trends for the FCPA and Bribery Act, which have implications for companies around the world. The final day will include focused testimony on such issues as third party due diligence, cultural differences, facilitation payments, compliance strategies, and fraud risk assessment, from speakers with ample experience in corporate compliance.

The 3rd Anti-Corruption Compliance EMEA Summit 2017 represents a unique opportunity for companies with substantial operations in the Middle East to stay updated on important anti-corruption developments, and strengthen essential compliance practices. Professionals working in legal and compliance departments, in addition to related areas in corporate governance, are invited to attend.
